Praise the Lord, Ebenezer A.M.E. Church Family!

Mother’s Day (May 12) and Father’s Day (June 16) are quickly approaching.  During both services held each Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, the Officers, Men’s Ministry and Youth Ministry of Ebenezer honor Pastor Jo Ann Browning as our Spiritual Mother and Pastor Grainger as our Spiritual Father.  Throughout the years, this has been done in numerous forms, including poems, video presentations, music, skits, etc.

This year, we would like to enlist the multiple gifts and talents of Ebenezer members to create a formal presentation that will honor Pastor Jo Ann on Mother’s Day and Pastor Grainger on Father’s Day.  There is no required format for the presentation – persons should be creative as the Lord leads them to be.

There are a few basic guidelines – the presentation should be no longer than three-four minutes, it should be respectful and done in decency and order, and it should be creative with a focus on the many roles Pastor Jo Ann plays, including preacher, teacher, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, etc. and the same from the male perspective for Pastor Grainger.  You can submit one presentation for Pastor Jo Ann for Mother’s Day or one for Pastor Grainger for Father’s Day. You may also select to create one for both occasions.

If you develop a presentation, but prefer not to present it we will have someone present/introduce it on your behalf at service.  Please remember the presentation is from the entire Ebenezer Church Family and not just the individual who created it.

Submissions are due on or before the following dates:

The Pastors’ Mother’s/Father’s Day Tribute Committee will select the presentation showcased during the worship services.  All presentations (whether selected or not) will be packaged and given to Pastors for viewing at their leisure.
