Minister to Men

We live in strange time now. We live in a time wherein we have seen a Tsunami, Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Mudslides, Flooding, Massive Natural Fires, High Gas Prices, War, Terrorism, poverty exposed beyond belief and much more. God is not just speaking, but talking loudly. He is speaking loudly because the cry of his people he has heard and God certainly sees the oppression wherewith the special interest groups, government, military, police, religious folk, corporate greed, you name it…. oppress his people. The problem is that an overwhelming amount of these people are African American Men. Men targeted to fail, not graduate from high school, spend time in jail, birth children but not take care of them, disrespect themselves, families, and society. The cry we here from the people, the plea we here from our brothers is S.O.S.

Today African American men and their families are sending and crying out…. “Save our Sons, Save our Sisters, Save Ourselves and Save our Society”, yes and S.O.S. Our great Pastors, Rev. Dr. Grainger Browning, Jr. and Pastor JoAnn Browning teach, preach and demonstrate what it means to send and respond to God’s people and their needs. The Men’s Ministry of Ebenezer is blessed to have a group of Men that believe that through the spirit of God we can rise to the occasion and better cope with the challenges that face us. The Men’s Season is highlighted with programs, activities and events to better prepare us for natural disasters, to take responsibility for our families and ourselves to respond to the needs of God’s people. However, the pinnacle of our season is always our Men’s Conference. There is no Men’s Conference like that of Ebenezer AME Church. Men of God Stand Up Unite…It’s an S.O.S.
