HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Happy Belated Birthday to our Co-Pastor, Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Browning who celebrated her birthday Sept. 30th. We love you!

BAPTISM: The next Baptism instruction class for immersion candidates will be tomorrow, Oct. 3rd at 7 p.m.

NEW MEMBERS CLASS: The next New Members’ class will be Sat., Oct. 8th at 10 a.m. and will focus on Christianity and Discipleship.

PRE-MARITAL INSTITUTE/BONE OF MY BONE: Couples planning weddings for 2016-2017 are encouraged to invest in their relationship with counseling. The Pre-Marital Institute is held on Saturdays for 8 weeks from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. The first class was yesterday.  Cost is $75. Register in the Narthex or at the Admin. Office.

LAY ORGANIZATION: The Lay Organization is hosting “YOUR VOTE is YOUR VOICE—USE IT” 2016 Voter Registration & Voter Education. Voter Registration forms are available in the Narthex after service. Also, join the Lay Organization for a general membership and recruitment meeting Thurs., Oct. 6th at 7 p.m.

Go Get Our Daughters (G.O.D.) Ministry: Join the Go Get Our Daughters Ministry (for young women ages 10-18) Sat., Oct. 8th from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for our “Focused” activity. The event will include a trip to the newly opened National African American Museum of History and Culture. Tickets are limited and participation is for girls only. Register in the Narthex.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS: October is Breast Cancer awareness month. Throughout the month, we will provide facts: FACT 1…Every 2 minutes, one case of breast cancer is diagnosed in a woman in the U.S., BUT early detection can saves lives!

The Sisters Helping Sisters Ministry will host a Breast Cancer Forum Thurs., Oct. 13th at 7 p.m. at the WRRC with guest speakers, door prizes and more. All are invited.

Women’s Resource & Restoration Center (WR&RC): Join the WR&RC for a day in New York City Sat., Oct. 22nd. See the sights, attend a play and do some shopping for yourself and a family in need. The cost is $65 and due by Oct. 14th and $70 after Oct. 14.  Register in the Narthex.

EYL4C & YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY: Set the date for Oct. 29th at 7 p.m.! You don’t want to miss the “The Encounter meets The Experience”—a Saturday Night Youth and Young Adult Worship Service with a dynamic tag team message from Rev. Akil & Rev. Ware along with guest artist Zacardi Cortez in concert.

PARKING MINISTRY: The Parking Lot Ministry needs your volunteer services, once a month after each service. Training and equipment provided. Also, church family please remember to follow all parking regulations and parking volunteer requests. Call the church or email parking@ebenezerame.org.

S.T.O.M.P. STEP TEAM: STOMP Step Team is looking for youth between the ages 11-17 who desire to step for the Lord. They are also seeking adult coaches who desire to teach. Come out Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Stop by the EYL4C booth or call the church.

CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: We are conducting a survey to gain valuable insight about YOU‒our church family‒as we work to continue to serve our congregation and the community. Each member (from Jewels to Youth should complete a form). Surveys can be found online at ebenezerame.org or a copy can be picked up in the Narthex.

PREACHING ENGAGEMENTS: Pastor Jo Ann Browning will be preaching Thurs., Oct 6th for the Ordination Service at St. Paul A.M.E. in Montgomery, Alabama for Episcopal Supervisor, Sherita Seawright. Then, Sat., Oct. 8th at 6 p.m. she will preach at Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA for their Women’s Season.

MEN’S SEASON (MS2K16): It’s Men’s Season and the Summerville Bike/Walk/Run is here! Help in the fight against Breast Cancer by supporting the Edith P. Wright Foundation through the 2016 Summerville 10-5K Walk/Run/Bike Ride Sat., Oct. 8th at 7 a.m. beginning at Oxon Hill Manor. Sign up at racepacket.com.

Also brothers, grill it up at the MS2K16 3rd Annual Tailgate Cook-off Competition and Fellowship. Sat., Oct. 15th from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. The Cook-Off will have you licking your fingers! Tasting tickets are $10. To purchase tickets or to register to compete, stop by the Men’s Season table.
