MEN’S SEASON 2015: It’s Men’s Season 2015! Today is Jersey Sunday! Next up, all are invited Tues., Oct. 27 at 7 PM for an evening with Negro League Legend Hall of Famer, Meadowlark Lemon as he discusses his book, Trust Your Next Shot: A Guide to a Life of Joy.

Brothers, don’t forget to register today for a life-changing experience at the 31st Annual Men’s Advance Nov. 20-12 at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort in Cambridge, MD.

CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP MINISTRY: The Caregivers Support Group invites family caregivers and supporters to their “Fall Focus Fellowship Meeting” Sat., Oct. 31 at 1 p.m. The discussion will focus on the emotional, spiritual and physical toll of caregiving and God’s prescription for well-being.

DONATIONS: The Potter’s House, WR&RC, Mobile Homeless Van Run & the Reach Out to Military ministries are collecting new towels/wash cloths and “Anytime Bags” for our homeless brothers and sisters for Prince George’s County Veterans Stand Day and Homeless Resource Day Nov. 7. Collection Boxes are located in the Narthex, Admin. Area and the 2nd Floor entrance through Nov. 4. Donations include towels and wash cloths and anytime bags items include tuna kit, bottled water, fruit cup and cookie.

MOBILE HOMELESS VAN MINISTRY: Also, if you have clean, gently worn, undamaged fall & winter clothing, coats, shoes, and toiletries, you would like to donate to our homeless brothers and sisters, drop them off in the boxes marked MHVM located in the Narthex.

Manhood & Womanhood Rites of Passage Ministries: It’s Mentoring Season at Ebenezer. If you know of a young man between the ages of 12 and 17, enroll him in the Manhood Rites of Passage and see the change. Call 301-248-8833 for more info or meet Nov. 3rd at 7:30 p.m. in the Original Sanctuary. The Womanhood Rites of Passage Ministry is also recruiting teenage girls (between the ages of 14-18) and mentors for the 2016 season. See one of the mentors in the Narthex. Invest in your young man’s and woman’s lives because their lives matter!

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION & ASSISTANCE MINISTRY: The Employment Information and Assistance Ministry will assist job seekers Thurs., Oct. 29th at 7 p.m. at EBI. Email resumes in advance to resumes@ebenezerame.org and email job openings to jobconnection@ebenezerame.org.

CFAM: The CFAM is sending out Care Packages to college students and they need your help to reach the goal of 300 students. Forms can be picked up in Narthex.

HEALTH MINISTRY: The Health Ministry prays you have been better informed by the breast cancer info provided this month. Here is the last fact of the month…remember breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among African-American women. While death rates for most cancers have declined overall, racial and ethnic disparities in breast cancer morbidity and mortality continue to persist. Early detection and better risk assessment is the primary method for reducing the disparities in breast cancer.
