NEW MEMBERS CLASS: The next New Members class will be Sat., Nov. 5th at 10 a.m. and will focus on faith and salvation.

MINISTRY MEETINGS: Ebenezer is “moving forward” and establishing new and reviving old ministries. There are several upcoming meetings—on Tues., Nov. 8th, the Social Conscience Ministry and the Christian Business Network Ministry will meet. The PEW and the Social Media Ministries will meet Tues. Nov. 15th. For each meeting, individuals interested in joining the ministry will meet at 7:30p.m.

PEW MINISTRY: The Pew Ministry is recruiting person to join a component of their ministry that will focus on regularly reaching out to our new members. Please stop by their table in the Narthex.

COMBINED USHERS BOARD: It’s open season for recruitment of new ushers—adult and youth. Youth members must be at least 10 years old. If interested, see them in the Narthex.

MANHOOD RITES OF PASSAGE (MROP): Manhood Rites of Passage is accepting applications for 2017 Season. The next Parents’ Informational Meeting is Tues., Nov. 1st at 7 p.m. in the Original Sanctuary.

MOBILE HOMELESS VAN MINISTRY: If you have NEW or GENTLE USED fall and winter clothing, coats, shoes, boots, hats, scarves you would like to donate to homeless men, women and children, drop them off in the box marked Mobile Homeless Van Ministry (located near the Security Desk) through Nov., 7th. Toiletries (travel size) are also needed. Please ensure that your clothing donations are clean.

POTTER’S HOUSE, WRRC, PEW & DAUGHTERS OF ANNA MINISTRIES: We are currently collecting “Anytime Bags” for our homeless brothers and sisters for Prince George’s County Veterans Stand Day & Homeless Resource Day Sat., Nov. 5th. Drop off donations at the WRRC between 5p.m.-7p.m.Mon., Oct. 31st Thurs., Nov. 3rd. Email pottershouse@ebenezerame.org for more info.

FIRST & SECOND QUARTERLY CONFERENCE: The next Quarterly Conference is Mon., Nov. 14th at 7:30 p.m. All ministry heads are asked to come out with your reports.

LEADERSHIP MEETING: The next church-wide leadership meeting is Tues., Nov. 15th at 7:30 p.m. All ministry leaders are asked to attend.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS: During Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Health Ministry has provided information and prayerfully you understand the importance of self-breast exams and screening for women. FACT #5: Men can also get breast cancer. In 2016, it is estimated that there will be 2,600 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 440 breast cancer deaths among men. Brothers, please be aware of any changes in your body and don’t ignore the warning signs!

MEN’S SEASON (MS2K16):  Church family, earmark these upcoming Men’s Season events! You don’t want to miss “Transformers: Becoming Doers & Agent of Change” FMO Thurs., Nov. 3rd at 7:30 p.m.  Dinner from 6:30 -7:30 with guest preacher Rev. William “Bill” Lee, Asst. Pastor of Community of Hope following. Next, the “Hour of Power” with guest speaker Rev. John Jenkins of First Baptist Church of Glenarden Mon., Nov. 7th at 7 p.m. and Thurs., Nov. 10th at 7 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Delman Coates from Mt. Enon Baptist Church. The Hour of Power is open to the entire church family.

Finally, the MS2K16 Conference will be held here at Ebenezer Nov. 17-19! Registration is only $50. There will be workshops, panel discussions, giveaways and much more. Register in the Narthex after service. Game changers, it’s time for change!
