HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Happy belated Birthday to our Co-Pastor, Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Browning who celebrated her birthday Sept. 30th! We love you and pray that God will continue to bless and grant you your heart’s desires!

DELIVERANCE 2015: Join Deliverance 2015, hosted by Bishop William & Episcopal Supervisor Dr. Pam DeVeaux. The three-day conference focuses on Spirituality, Health and Wellness, Education and Finances with worship services and interactive workshops featuring dynamic speakers, including Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Dr. Jazz Sculark, Bishop John and Episcopal Supervisor Cecelia Bryant, Rev. Sheleta Fomby & more! Deliverance 2015 is Thurs., Oct. 8th-Sat., Oct. 10th at Reid Temple North in Silver Spring. Register at deliverance2015.org.

CALL TO MINISTRY INSTITUTE: The call to Ministry Institute will be held Tues., Oct. 6th at 7 p.m. on the 3rd floor of the Main Church.  If you feel you have a calling on your life, don’t miss the meeting with Pastor Jo Ann.

MEN’S SEASON 2015: Men’s Season 2015 is here! Men AND women, register for the 2015 Summerville 10-5K Run, Walk and 50K Bike Ride Sat. Oct. 17th at Oxon Hill Farm Park. Register online at www.racepacket.com.

NEW MEMBERS CLASS: The next New Members’ class is this Sat., Oct. 10th from 10 a.m.-12 noon and will focus on Christianity and Discipleship.

PRE-MARITAL INSTITUTE: Couples planning weddings are encouraged to invest in their relationship with pre-marital counseling. Bone of My Bones Pre-marital Institute is held on Saturdays for 8 weeks from 9 am-11 am. The first class begins Sat., Oct. 3rd. Cost is $75. Register in the Admin. Office.

TUTORIAL MINISTRY: The Tutorial Ministry resumes tutoring services Mon. Oct. 5th from 6-7 p.m. on Mondays & Tuesdays only at the EBI building. The ministry follows the 2015-2016 calendar of PG County Public Schools. Volunteers needed!

WOMEN’S RESOURCE & RESTORATION CENTER: Join the Women’s Resource & Restoration Center for a day of fun, shopping or a play in New York City Sat., Oct. 24th. Stop in the Narthex for more info.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: Do you have a child between the ages of 2 and 18 or are you an adult who wants to deepen your study of God’s Word? Come out and fellowship during Sunday Church School 7:45-9:30 for youth/ 9-10 for Adults. Registration is in the Narthex after services.

HEALTH MINISTRY: THINK PINK! October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Everyone is asked to wear pink for Pink Sundays in recognition of the fight against breast cancer. Ribbons and educational information are in the Narthex. Additionally, a Breast Cancer Awareness fact will be shared each Sunday. Fact #1:  Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among African American women. An estimated more than 27,000 new cases of breast cancer in African American women and over 6,000 deaths from the disease are expected to occur in 2015. We can change this through education!
