“FAITH IN ACTION” LUNCHEON: Pastor Grainger Browning is among the panelists invited by Rev. Jesse Jackson to discuss the role of faith-based leaders in Social Justice during Rainbow PUSH Coalition & Citizenship Education Fund’s “Faith in Action” Luncheon this Tues., Nov. 14th at 11:30 a.m. at the AT&T Forum for Technology, Entertainment & Policy, Washington, DC.
CHURCH CLOSINGS: In observance of Veteran’s Day the church will be closed tomorrow, Mon. Nov. 13th. In observance of Thanksgiving the church will be closed on Thurs – Sat. Nov. 23-25. The 24-hour answering service will be available in case of emergency.
COMFORT MINISTRY-SPOUSES IN TRANSITION: Join us for the COMFORT MINISTRY-SPOUSES IN TRANSITION ministry for their Annual Holiday Grief Workshop Tues., Nov. 14th at 7 p.m. entitled “The Emojis of Grief.” The guest facilitator will be Rev. Sheila Holmes of Hartland Hospice. This event is open to the entire church, especially those who may have suffered the loss of a loved one this year.
AARP DRIVER SAFETY COURSE: The AARP Driver Safety Course is sponsored by the Jewels on Tues., Nov. 14th at 10 a.m. You can trim your auto insurance premiums by 5 to 10 percent for 3 years. YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY: Young Adults, don’t meet us, but beat us to Young Adult Bible Study this Thurs., Nov. 16th at 7:30 p.m. on the 3rd floor. Don’t miss this time of the Word and fellowship with other young adults!
NEW MEMBERS CLASS: The next new members’ class is Sat., Nov., 18th at 10 a.m. and will focus on Church History.
MANHOOD RITES OF PASSAGES MINISTRY (MROP): MANHOOD RITES OF PASSAGES MINISTRY is now accepting applications for our upcoming mentoring season. If you are the parent, grandparent, neighbor, teacher, friend of a young man between the ages of 12-17, sign them up for this life changing mentoring and leadership training. The next Parent Orientation session is Tues., Nov. 14th, at 7 p.m. The MROP ministry also seeks men with testimonies to serve as mentors. EBENEZER BASKETBALL TEAM (EBT): We are recruiting new boys and girls basketball players, ages5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-16. Coaches and Administrators are also needed this season. The Program begins Sat., Dec. 2nd, Come out for fun and exercise while learning the basics skills to play the game. Sign up in Narthex today or call the church.
