It’s the Christmas Season, Ebenezer family! Here are some of the upcoming activities in the life of our church.

 

THANK YOU: Pastor Grainger, Pastor Jo Ann and the entire Browning family, would like to thank the Ebenezer Church family for the tremendous condolences expressed through prayers, cards and kind words during the homegoing of our beloved mother, Mrs. Esther Browning. We love and appreciate you.

 

NEW MEMBERS’ CLASS: Then next New Members’ class will be held this Sat., Dec. 21 at 10:00 a.m.-noon and will focus on Church History.

JEWELS MINISTRY: Come and celebrate Christmas with the Jewels at The Club at Andrews AFB Fri., Dec. 20 from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Cost $30 per person. Sign-up in the Narthex. or email at jewels@ebenezerame.org.

ADULT CHOIR:Project 300 is still underway! The Adult Choir is seeking at least 100 more persons to join them to reach 300+ members. Choir rehearsals are Mondays at 7 p.m. Call the church office or email adultchoir@ebenezerame.orgfor more info. Also, mark your calendars for the Adult Choir’s 28th Anniversary celebration Jan. 12, 2014!

PEW MINISTRY: Do you have a prayer request or need in a specific area of your life?  Are you looking for more information on ministries and activities at Ebenezer? The Pew Ministry will bring your concerns to the ministries who can respond to your particular need. Pew Disciples are identified by badges and seated throughout the church to provide cards for you to indicate your needs. Give your concerns to a Pew Disciple during offering or after worship services or visit the ministry table after services.

YOUTH MINISTRY: All Middle & High School students, make plans to join the youth ministries of Ebenezer AME, Bethel AME, Community of Hope AME, New Psalmist Baptist, Reid Temple AME and St. Paul Baptist for the “BROKEN LOCK-IN” to be held Fri., Jan. 17, 2014.

 

SEASON OF GIVING: This is the holiday season and it’s better to give than receive. The needs of our community members are greater than ever before and we want to do more this holiday! Help serve additional church members and neighbors by continuing to give to our Season of Giving campaign during service OR by going to Ebenezerame.org and clicking “online giving.” Your gifts help support our food baskets donations, the Potter’s House homeless ministry efforts, the Angel Tree project and other Season of Giving activities throughout this holiday season.

 

AFFORDABLE HEATH COVERAGE:  The Affordable Care Act requires most adults ages 18-64 to have health insurance coverage or pay a fine beginning in 2014. Sign up for Affordable Health coverage, Sat., Dec. 21 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Service and Prince George’s County Government locations.
