NEW MEMBERS CLASS: The next New Members’ class will be held Sat., Feb. 11th at 10 a.m. and will focus on Christianity and Discipleship.
PRE-MARITAL SEMINAR & INSTITUTE: Considering marriage, engaged or already planning your wedding? Then come out for a Bone of My Bone Pre-Marital Seminar taught by Pastor Jo Ann Browning this Thurs., Feb. 16th at 7 p.m. All engaged and dating couples thinking about getting married are welcome to attend. Couples planning weddings for 2017 are encouraged to invest in their relationship with pre-marital counseling. Bone of My Bones Pre-Marital Institute is held on Saturdays for 8 weeks from 9 a.m.-11a.m. The first class begins this Sat., Feb. 18th. Cost is $75. Register in the Church Office.
SEXUAL HARASSMENT & CHILD ABUSE WORKSHOP: There will be a mandatory church Sexual Harassment Child Abuse Workshop Thurs, Feb. 16th at 7 p.m. All adults who come in contact and work with youth in the church must attend.
COMMUNITY SHRED DAY: This year’s Community Shred Day is Sat., Feb. 18th from 10-2 p.m. on the church grounds. This is a time to securely dispose of personal papers, including confidential papers, paper file folders, staples, paper clips, and small binder clips.
POETRY MINISTRY: Celebrate Black History Month with the Poetry Ministry as they host “Standing in the Gap” Fri., Feb. 17th from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. on the third floor. LAY ORGANIZATION MINISTRY: The Lay Ministry is conducting its monthly meeting Thurs, Feb. 23rd at 7 p.m. Join them as they celebrate Founder’s Day and Black History Month with a special program, “The Crisis in Black Education.” Light refreshments provided. You can also join or renew your membership for 2017 at this meeting.

COMFORT & YOUTH COMFORT GRIEF INITIATIVE SUMMIT: Join the COMFORT & YOUTH COMFORT GRIEF INITIATIVE SUMMIT Sat., Feb. 25th. This year’s focus will be on mind, body and spirit for all. There is also a full day of activities portion for Young people between the ages of 6-18 to minister to their losses. Breakfast workshops, panels, lunch and closing worship service are included. CREATIVE GIFTS SEMINAR & CELEBRATION AT EBENEZER: Ebenezer’s first CREATIVE GIFTS SEMINAR & CELEBRATION is Fri., March 10th – Sun., March 12th. Come develop your creative gifts in the areas of art, voice, music, writing, drama, liturgical dance, musical instruments, poetry and spoken word, video/audio production and more. BLACK HISTORY MONTH: It’s Black History Month and each week, we are sharing a fact about our history and culture… We have always been civically involved. In fact, Hiram Rhodes Revels was the first African American ever elected to the U.S. Senate. He represented the state of Mississippi from February 1870-March 1871.
