LEADERSHIP MEETING: The next church-wide leadership meeting is tomorrow Mon., April 13th. All church leaders are asked to attend.
NEW MEMBERS’ CLASS: The next New Members’ class is this Sat., April 18th from 10 a.m.-12 noon and will focus on Church History.
ANOINTED HORSEMEN: Motorcycle Safety Check Day is today, April 12th from 2 p.m.-5 p.m in the Main Sanctuary Rear Parking Lot. This motorcycle safety inspection activity is open to all members of the church who own a motorcycle. Ministry road captains will assist each participant in performing a visual inspection of their own motorcycle based on the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s inspection checklist.
POETRY MINISTRY: The Poetry Ministry celebrates National Poetry Month with poetry, African drumming and an open mic this Fri., April 17th from 6-9 pm on the Third Floor. Featured poet will be award-winning Coon, The Poet—youth advocate, motivational speaker and educator. Sis. Miriamm Wright McKinney will also share in song. Refreshments will be served. If you have a love for poetry, come out to see if this ministry is for you.
YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY: Young Adults! Join us for “THE EXPERIENCE” Bible Study on Thursdays at 7:30 pm. The theme for the month of April is “There’s a Hero in You”. You are filled with greatness and this teaching will help you unlock the “hero” inside of you! Come out for this life-changing Word!
EBENEZER SCHOLARSHIP MINISTRY: It’s Scholarship Season. Attention Ebenezer’s 2014 high school graduates and returning college students who plan to further their education in Fall 2015, The Bishop Benjamin T. Tanner, the Isaac Gourdine Scholarship and Jewels Ministry applications are available in the Admin. Office or the church website. Deadline is May 1. KING’S MEN CHOIR: The King’s Men presents the Harry Lee Jackson Jr. Memorial Scholarship for deserving young men between the ages of 16-24 residing in the Metro DC, Southern Maryland and Northern Virginia area. Deadline is May 2nd. All scholarship applications are available online at ebenezerame.org or at the church office.
LAY ORGANIZATION: Also, three Connectional Lay Organization Scholarships are now available for H.S. graduates entering college in the fall of 2015, and for students pursuing course of study to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree, Master of Divinity or Doctor of Ministry. Deadline is May 15. Request applications at firstname.lastname@example.org.
PARKING MINISTRY: Ebenezer’s Parking Ministry needs you to volunteer to be a part of the team. Four different teams will be organized to volunteer once a month. Training will be provided for all persons who are interested. Contact Bro. Ralph Parker, Bro. Steve Young or call the church office.
Church family, please remember to follow parking regulations when parking in the church parking lots. Please keep all vehicles out of the fire lanes, so they are clear in the event of an emergency.
WOMEN’S SEASON: Women’s Season 2015 continues! Strike!
