2018 WOMEN’S SEASON: Women’s Season 2018 continues! This is the week! Revival 2 with Bishop Millicent Hunter this Weds., April 18th at 7 p.m. This event is open to all.

Next up…sisters, come get your blessing Fri., April 27th at 6 p.m. for the God is a Wonder…Wakanda Praise Party!  w/ 104.1’s DJ Soul! African attire is optional. Cost is only $5 which includes food, games, giveaways and more. Please register in the Narthex after service.

And that’s not it! The “Walk It like I Talk It” Workshops for Young Women is Sat., April 28th. The cost is $10 which includes lunch. Register young ladies ages 4-18 in the Narthex-for this day of life changing workshops to address real life issues our youth they face every day.

Sisters, bring your mothers, grandmothers, daughters and friends to the 20th Annual Women’s Health Awareness and Sporting Day Sat., May 5th. The day includes free health screenings, expert panels and workshops featuring doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals, exercise sessions, cooking demonstrations, vendors, and more. Calling all educators! During this Women’s Season, the Education Ministry will sponsor and host a Teacher’s Brunch on Sat., May 19th. Registration is required. Go to Ebenezerame.org to register today!

PASTOR’S ENGAGEMENT: Please continue to pray for our Pastors. Pastor Jo Ann Browning will be a presenter at Greater Allen Cathedral AME Church’s Women’s Conference in Connecticut this week.

NEW MEMBERS’ CLASS: New Members’ class will be held this Sat., April 21st and will focus on Church History.

CHRISTIAN BUSINESS MINISTRY (CBM): The Christian Business Ministry will host its 2nd monthly Business Capacity Building Workshop, “2017 Tax Reform Legislation – Get in the Know!” Thurs., April 26th at 7p.m. The presenter is Benjamin F. Copeland, Jr., President of Copeland Financial Services, LLC and renowned tax expert. The presenter will discuss the implications of this new legislation and key facts that all business owners should know.

Calling all business owners to become a part of the CBM Business Directory!  By dropping off your business card on Business Card Sunday in May, you will not only be listed in the directory, but your business will be registered to win a prize.

POETRY MINISTRY: Join the Poetry Ministry as they celebrate the 15th Anniversary of National Poetry Month Fri., April 20th at 6 p.m. with performances by the Anointed P.E.N.S. (Poets Empowered to Nurture Souls), African drumming, dancing, awards presentations and an open mic session. Plus, Poet Stanice Anderson, and choreo-poets, Nadira Akina and Nehemiah Amari Sellers. Refreshments will be served.

Also glean some Spiritual Maximizing & Prioritizing advice while enjoying goodies, games, & giveaways at their Spring Cleaning & Gleaning Meeting, Sat., April 28th at 1 p.m.

68th SESSION OF THE WASHINGTON ANNUAL CONFERENCE: We praise GOD that Bishop James Levert Davis, Presiding Prelate of the Second Episcopal District of the AME Church reappointed our pastors, Rev. Dr. Grainger Browning, Jr. & Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Browning to Ebenezer! May GOD continue to bless you, Pastors. We love you!

35th PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY: We continue to celebrate our Pastors 35th pastoral anniversary!

We will host a Homecoming Weekend, June 23-24 with an Ebenezer Choir Reunion Concert! We are seeking all former choir members to join the Reunion Choir.

Also, don’t forget you can continue to give your 35th love offering to Pastors anytime throughout the year. A designated basket is available each Sunday.

There is so much you may not know about out Pastors! Did you know that after Pastor Grainger and Pastor Jo Ann’s arrival to Ebenezer in 1983 that through God and their anointed leadership, the church experienced incredible growth! In 1986, they started holding three services at Friendly H.S. every Sunday to accommodate the members. We entered “Ebenezer the Beautiful,” the current sanctuary in 1994.
