MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Celebrate and remember our military members and loved ones at Ebenezer’s 20th Annual Memorial Day Celebration sponsored by the Comfort Department along with the Reach Out to Military Ministry and the Young People Care Initiative tomorrow Mon., May 27th at 9 a.m. in the Main Sanctuary. We will honor those who have served in the Armed Forces, as well as celebrate the memories of loved ones who have gone home to be with the Lord. There will be a powerful Word and dynamic praise and worship. The guest speaker will be Rev. Phillip Jackson of Life Change AME Church in Columbia, MD.

BAPTISM: The next baptismal instruction for pouring and sprinkling candidates will be Mon., June 3rd at 7p.m.

EDUCATION MINISTRY: We will celebrate all educators and the end of the school7 year Sat., June 8th at 12 p.m. Join them for an “All White Affair” fellowship!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: Vacation Bible School Week is June 17th – 21st. Children (ages 4-teens) will be led in a one-week biblical training. The teacher training meeting for all classes & assistants is Sat., June 8th at 9 a.m.

BASKETBALL MINISTRY: Recruitment for summer youth basketball for boys and girls ages 7-18 has begun. They are also looking for volunteer coaches and administrators. The first 2019 game is Sat., June 1st. Stop by their table in the Narthex after service today for details.

MOBILE HOMELESS VAN MINISTRY: The Homeless Van Ministry is collecting men’s and women’s – new or slightly used – sneakers, flip flops and shower shoes for their spring/summer collection drive. Drop the shoes off in the boxes marked MHVM (located near the Security Desk) throughout June.

TENNIS MINISTRY: The Tennis Ministry will offer tennis camp Mon., June 3rd at 7 p.m. at Friendly High School. $15 for children ages 10-16 and adults $25. Email tennis@ebenezerame.org for more info.

SOCIAL CONSCIOUS MINISTRY: Join the Social Conscious, Men’s, Women’s, and Lay Ministries and local AME churches for a private screening of the movie, “Emanuel” Mon., June 17th at 7 pm. The movie documents the tragic shooting at Mother Emanuel AME Church. Seating is limited, so purchase your tickets as soon as possible. Tickets are $12.50 and must be purchased online at Eventbrite (choose the Alexandria location).

GOSPEL FEAST: Save the date! This year’s Gospel Feast will be Sunday, July 28th. More details to come!

2019 WOMEN’S SEASON: Sisters, the mountaintop experience is almost here! The 35th Annual God is a Wonder Spiritual Retreat and Restoration Conference is May 30th – June 1st and you don’t want to miss this milestone moment! Men of Ebenezer, we need you! Brothers are needed to serve at various times during the Women’s Retreat—starting Tues., May 28th – Sat., June 1st. Help is needed to drive vans and golf carts, assist with setup, parking, security and Admin. Office support. Sign-up in the Narthex or online at ebenezerame.org or contact the Men’s Ministry leadership. God IS a wonder!

The 2019 Women’s Day is next Sun., June 2. Co-Pastor Susie Owens will be the preacher at 7:45 a.m. and Rev. Marissa Farrow at 10:45 a.m. service. Be here as we celebrate Women’s Season season! God IS a wonder!
