NEW MEMBERS CLASS: The New Members class will be held Sat., Oct. 15th at 10 a.m. and will focus on church history.
COLLEGE FAMILY MINISTRY (CFAM): The CFAM Ministry will host a volunteer meeting Tues., Oct. 11th at 7 p.m. This ministry is dedicated to supporting our college students and we want you to join! Help change the world, one college student at a time!
MANHOOD RITES OF PASSAGE (MROP): Black Boys Lives Matter! Committed men are needed to share Christ and mentor with the Manhood Rights of Passage Ministry. Come to the Parents’ Informational meeting Sat., Oct. 15th at 10 a.m. Enroll young men (ages 12-17) by contacting Elder Lateef the church office.
PEW MINISTRY: The Pew Ministry is currently recruiting for new members to join. If you have a desire to serve and to be a blessing, come to the next meeting Thurs., Oct 13th at 7 p.m. Stop by the Pew Ministry booth in the Narthex.
MOBILE HOMELESS VAN MINISTRY: If you have NEW or GENTLE USED fall and winter clothing, coats, shoes, boots, hats, scarves you would like to donate to homeless men, women, and children, drop them off in the box marked Mobile Homeless Van Ministry (located near the Security Desk) beginning Oct. 11th through Nov. 7th. Toiletries (travel size) are also needed. Please ensure that your clothing donations are clean with no holes.
Women’s Resource & Restoration Center (WR&RC): Join the WR&RC for a day in New York City Sat., Oct. 22nd. See the sights, attend a play and do some shopping for yourself and a family in need. The cost is $65 and due by Oct. 14th and $70 after Oct. 14th. Register in the Narthex.
SUNDAY SCHOOL: On Oct., 16th at 8:30 a.m. join Ebenezer’s Sunday School! Come out and meet the staff, visit the Adult Class, review the curriculum or spend quality time with your child. You can also share how your gifts and talents can aid the Church School Program! ALL are welcome!
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS: Throughout the month, we will provide facts: FACT 2…Breast cancer is the most common cancer among African-American women. In 2016, about 30,700 new cases of breast cancer are expected to occur among African-American women. Overall, breast cancer incidences among African-American women are lower than among white women.
The Sisters Helping Sisters Ministry will host a Breast Cancer Forum Thurs., Oct. 13th at 7 p.m. at the WRRC with guest speakers Dr. Nicole Thompson, Genetic Counselor and Dr. Melvin Gaskins, Oncologist along with door prizes and much more. All are invited.
EYL4C & YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY: Set the date for Oct. 29th at 7 p.m.! You don’t want to miss the “The Encounter meets The Experience”—a Saturday Night Youth and Young Adult Worship Service with a dynamic tag team message from Rev. Akil & Rev. Ware along with guest artist Zacardi Cortez in concert.
PREACHING ENGAGEMENTS: On Sun., Oct. 16th at 3:30 p.m., Pastor Grainger Browning will be preaching at Campfield AME Church located in Pikesville, MD.
MEN’S SEASON (MS2K16): It’s Men’s Season 2016! Join MS2K16 as they grill it up at their 2nd Annual Tailgate Cook-off Competition and Fellowship Sat., Oct. 15th from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. The Cook-Off will have you licking your fingers! Tasting tickets are $10 each. To purchase tickets or to register to compete, stop by the Men’s Season table.
Next Sunday, Oct. 16th is Jersey Sunday. Wear your favorite team’s jersey.
Then, it’s the 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament Oct. 29th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. only for adult participants (18 years and over). Cost is $80 per team with 3 games min. guaranteed. Get details at the Men’s Season table!
