WOMEN’S DAY: It’s Women’s Day 2017! Our guest preachers for today are Rev. Dr. Susie Owens at 7:45 service and Rev. Sheleta Fomby at 10:45. We thank God for how He has blessed this entire 34th annual women’s season. Thank you to our visionary for the season, Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Browning, co-chairs and co-coordinators and all who supported the season. Without a doubt, God is a wonder!

PREACHING ENGAGEMENT:  Please continue to pray for our Pastors. On Tues., June 13th at 7 p.m., Pastor Grainger Browning will preach for the Men’s Revival at Hunter Memorial A.M.E. in Suitland Md. where Rev. Harold B. Hayes, Jr. is Pastor.

NEW MEMBERS CLASS: The next New Member’s class is Sat., June 10th at 10 a.m. The focus will be on Christianity and Discipleship.

BAPTISM: The next baptism instruction for pouring and sprinkling candidates is Tues., June 6th at 7 p.m.

CREATIVE GIFTS SEMINAR: The next Creative Gifts Seminar planning meeting will be held Tues., June 6th at 7 p.m.

TENNIS MINISTRY: Tennis camp begins tomorrow, Mon., June 5th at 7 p.m. at Friendly High School. $15 for children under 16 and $25 for adults. For additional info tennis@ebenezerame.org. or visit their table in the Narthex.

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION & ASSISTANCE MINISTRY: Employment Information and Assistance Ministry workshop on navigating USA Jobs and applying for federal employment is Sat., June 10th at 9a.m. Sign-up in the Narthex after service.

SCHOLARSHIP: The George & Charlenia Colter Graduate Scholarship Fund in the amount of $2K for five people is available. All interested should apply in the Admin. Office.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: It’s time! Vacation Bible School for young people ages 4-18 is June 19-23 at 9 a.m.   “Glow for Jesus: Let Your Light Shine” is this year’s challenge. We are recruiting staff and volunteers who want to be part of an exciting week of Bible Study. The training workshop is Sat., June 10th at 8 a.m. Contact the church at 301-248-8833.

SHINING STARS BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: The Shining Stars Before and After School Program is now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 School Year. The program includes daily Bible Study, homework help, computers, African-American History and more. Call the Admin. Office.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: Congratulations to our 2017 Potomac District Youth Explosion essay contest winners Dasia Currie, Jasmin Couser, Nia Nottingham, and Daylan Paige, as well as our essay participants Omar and Ozias Tulloch and Jordan Harris. Lastly, congratulations to Beraiah Coleman on receiving the 2017 Timothy Hay Scholarship!
